How we handle your data
Last updated 6 September 2026
Tactika reads your calendar, your meeting notes, and the things you tell your coach. That is a lot of trust, so this page describes what actually happens to that data rather than reserving every right we might one day want.
Career background is optional. If you choose “Suggest details,” your pasted résumé or profile text is sent to our AI provider to prepare a draft. Tactika does not persist that source text. We store only the career details, direction, and preferences you review and save, together with the source type and time of your latest save. Saved background is supplied to the AI provider when your coach prepares replies. You can replace or delete it from Career background, and it is included in your data export. Deleting it removes that record from future coaching context; earlier conversations and separately saved memories remain until removed through their respective controls or account deletion. Deleting a Tactika record does not control the AI provider’s retention of requests. Backup handling is described below.
Messages you send to the coach are saved in your conversation history, including personal or sensitive disclosures. New messages identified by the support checks are excluded from career summaries and learned communication preferences. The checks can miss sensitive content. The conversation itself remains in your account and export until you delete your account; it is not an anonymous crisis service.
Meeting transcripts may contain sensitive information about you and other people. Only share material you are allowed to share.
To generate coaching, Tactika sends relevant context to a language-model provider, and to look things up on the web it sends search queries to a search provider. Both are processors acting on our instructions. We send the minimum needed for the task, and never your credentials or access tokens.
Access to your records is restricted to your account. The service processes readable content to provide coaching; it does not currently provide per-account field encryption. Account deletion removes your records from the active database. Backup copies may remain until the hosting provider’s backup retention period ends; deleting a key does not make those copies unreadable.
